The Art and Science of Parks

Design Services & Purpose

Indigo Design, Inc. is dedicated to the development of park and recreation facilities, which through thoughtful and creative planning, serve the public’s desire for physical activity, mental rejuvenation, and access to natural places. The company’s fundamental design principle is reflected in the belief that park and recreation facilities must respond to the unique uses, community characteristics, natural site features, and maintenance expectations of the owner and the facility’s patrons. We approach the design of a park by blending a desire to express broad, community-minded goals with our knowledge of the many subtle, yet important, details that provide the visual quality and ease of use that define a successful facility.

The Park Design Services offered by Indigo Design enable park departments, recreation commissions, and other owner or user groups to envision future improvements, create public support, budget for capital outlays, anticipate operations costs, and hire contractors for facility construction. All of these services lead to the realization of better parks and recreation places for a community and its’ citizens.
